Petra Hajná of CPI Property Group elected to the Board of the Czech Green Building Council
Luxembourg/Prague, 5 December 2019 – CPI Property Group (“CPIPG”) is pleased to announce that Petra Hajná has been elected to the board of the Czech Green Building Council (Česká rada pro šetrné budovy, or CZGBC). Petra is a project manager in CPIPG’s property and facility management division in Prague who is responsible for plans and actions to improve the sustainability of CPIPG’s existing assets, refurbishments and developments.
“CPIPG has a market-leading property and facility management platform and integrates sustainability into all of our operations,” said Jakub Korf, Director of Property and Facility Management at CPI Property Group. “We are excited about Petra’s participation in CZGBC’s activities to ensure we are contributing our experience and learning from other property sector leaders.”
Petra joined CPIPG in 2019 from Skanska, where she led the implementation of green business strategies in the CEE region. During her time at Skanska, Petra was a member of the CZGBC’s working group. Petra is accredited by both LEED and WELL and has played an active role in certifying many landmark properties. In addition to her direct responsibilities in property and facility management, Petra will work closely with Marek Horak, CPIPG’s Sustainability Officer, to continually improve the company’s external reporting, analysis and objective-setting with regards to sustainability matters.
As a long-term investor, CPIPG has a strong commitment to sustainability and ESG matters. In October, CPIPG issued a highly successful green bond of EUR 750 million (almost CZK 20 billion). CPIPG intends to be a regular issuer of green bonds and is focused on meeting long-term sustainability targets including a 20% reduction in GHG emissions and a 10% reduction in water consumption by 2030. CPIPG is also actively pursuing acquisitions of new green-certified buildings and in November announced the acquisition of Eurocentrum, the largest green-certified office complex in Warsaw, Poland.
